WOOL & WOOLLIES

Tuesday, September 16 - 5:00 p.m.

Objectives:

1. To present a class of sheep in the most attractive manner.

2. To give spectators an opportunity to view people modeling wool garments while leading the wool producer.

3. To provide an opportunity for young people to develop poise.

Rules:

1. Entrants must wear a garment of wool or wool blend. Garment does not have to be constructed by entrant.

2. Entrants must lead a registered ewe which has been conditioned, fitted, and trained to show at halter. The ewe does not have to be owned by the entrant.

3. Have a description of costume and biography handed to superintendent by 5:00 PM Tuesday, September 16.

4. Contestants should report for rehearsal at 4:30 PM Tuesday, September 16. Report to the arena.

Judging Standards:

1. Entrants garment (suitable and practical for entrants maturity, etc.) 40%

2. Poise and Appearance (accessories, make-up, etc. appropriate for entrants maturity) and to style of garment. Entrant appears to be at ease and wears garment to best advantage) 30%

3. Control and Presentation of sheep 30%.

Classes:

1. Age 21 & Over
2. Senior Ages 16-20
3. Intermediate Ages 13-15
4. Junior Ages 10-12
5. Pee Wee Under 10 years of age
